Pipes

Tubular or piping extrusion consists on the formation of a melted resin in an annular section (tubular) and cooling off simultaneously until reaching a solid stage in shape of an annular section.

When performing an análisis of the process involved in the extrusion of pipes, there may be identified the following steps in the process:

• Transport, fusion and pumping of the resin; stage developed by the extruder;
• Formation of the annular section; stage developed by the extrusion header
• Cooling of the profile or pipe; stage developed by the pulling unit and cooling system;
• Winding of the pipe; stage developed by the pulling unit and collection system (Post-Extrusion Equipments)
