Injection

Injection is a non-continuous process in which the machine operates in cycles. Generally, a granolous material passes from the storage tank to the feeder of the injection cylinder, in which a screw transports it to the opposed end of the barrel. During the transport the material melts due to the heating caused by the heater of the cylinder, heat generated due to friction of the plastic with the walls of the equipment and the inter-molecular friction. Thereafter, the screw works as a piston and injects the melted material until the complete filling of the cavity. The formed piece is solidified and is expelled to restart the cycle.
