Food

As time passes, consumers are more demanding in terms of food presentation and quality. Polinter has developed different degrees of Venelene® Polyethylene for the elaboration of films and layers for applications that are in contact with food. Due to its excellent capacity of processing, enhanced tenacious, flexibility and chemical resistance and its anti-humidity features, Venelene® resins are suitable for this type of application.

Another important application of Venelene® products consists of the layering with foil paper, fabrics and cardboard (Long-Term Containers) in which Polyethylene has the function of adhesive, anti-humidity barrier, sealing cap, surfaces for printing or anti-tearing features.

In order to supply to the market the proper combination of processing and mechanical properties, Polinter produces polyethylene mixtures designed to comply with the requirements of a demanding and competitive market, particularly in connection to the acquisition of packages with a reduced thickness which can achieve the desired performance of the final product.

The final uses of Venelene® products are:

• Thermo-shrinkable or Thermo-retractable Films
• Rolled Films for automatic Packaging (FFS)
• Films for multi-purpose bags (T-Shirts, POP, Pre-cut, Boutique, etc).
• Contour Packs
• Thin Wall Caps
• Stretchable Film for butchery and delicatessen
• Thin Wall Containers for bottling of water, juices, milk, ice creams, etc.
• Baskets, boxes, crates and sacks

Household Items

Venelene® Polyethylene for molding of household items features a narrow distribution of molecular weights that allow the elaboration of items with excellent mechanical properties, great shine and without blading as they offer homogeneity and consistency in the processing conditions and final performance of the article due to is uniformity, lot to lot and the excellent processability given its molecular structure.

The final products made with our resins include: baskets, buckets, containers for cleaning items, and general household items.

Construction

The consumption of Venelene® Polyethylene in this center is oriented towards the manufacturing of pipes, a market with a worldwide solid growth. The development of new Polyethylene such as ISO PE-100, has allowed the construction of new water and gas networks not only with an enhanced safety but also with important advantages in terms of installation, maintenance and operation costs.

Venelene® Polyethylene for pipes combines a proper balance of mechanic resistance and processing. Pipes made with Venelene® achieve the requirements for water transport and natural gas transmission, and may be used for the transportation of a great deal of fluids.

Venelene® Products include high and low degrees with suitable properties for a wide array of uses:

• Gas and Water Pumping Pipes (ISO PE80 and ISO PE100)
• Pipes for installation of electrical wires, phone and optic fiber lines.
• Corrugated Pipes for sewage

We also include water and chemical storage tanks as Venelene® Polyethylene for Roto-molding features additives that endure extreme processing and extended outdoors exposure.

The most common products manufactured with Venelene® products for roto-molding are:

 • Water Storage Tank
• Septic and Industrial Chemical Tanks
• Drums up to 220 Lt.
• Sport Articles
• Trash Containers.

Plasticulture

Plasticulture is the area of agriculture in which polymers are considered to enhance the productivity, control environmental conditions, save water and fertilizers, etc. This application has been favored with studies and researches as they have proved that the use of polyethylene in agriculture features advantages to producers in different applications oriented to a boost in performance, cost reduction and quality improvement.

The different techniques in which Venelene® Polyethylene take part are the following: softening of soils, greenhouses and roofs, weed control, waterproofing of lagoons and channels, storage of forage, water system and packing and protection of fruits.

Moreover, we also count with Venelene® polyethylene for the elaboration of rigid and flexible pipes for water systems for the crops.
